After 14 years of restoration, the Pyramid of Djoser or the Step Pyramid in Al Giza Desert was re-introduced to the world on Thursday.

Thought to be the oldest building in the world which was made entirely of stone, the pyramid is also the World Heritage Site.

The 4,700-year-old Step Pyramid is the highlight of Saqqara’s monuments and the Egypt’s oldest pyramid.

The construction which is around 60 metres high was built as a burial site for Pharaoh Djoser.
