Sudan’s interim government signed an agreement with the SPLM-N group at a ceremony in South Sudan’s capital, Juba, on Sunday. The agreement, signed between the major rebel group Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North, led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu and General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan’s government, is a step towards a final peace agreement, separating religion from state and guaranteeing freedom of religion.
