Hundreds of activists marched through Cape Town on Wednesday in support of Palestinians as the conflict with Israel escalates. The protesters who marched and rallied in front of the South African parliament demanded direct actions from their government such as the moving of the country’s embassy from Tel-Aviv to Ramallah “to show where we stand in the Palestinian issue”, one demonstrator said. Among those in attendance was Mandla Mandela, the grandson of anti-apartheid political leader Nelson Mandela who served as South Africa’s President from 1994 to 1999.
