People gathered to see Ethiopia’s parliament confirmed incumbent Abiy Ahmed swearing-in ceremony for a second five-year term as Ethiopia’s Prime Minister in Addis Ababa’s Meskel Square on Monday. Soldiers marched before Ahmed made his acceptance speech, taking oath for a five-year term surrounded by foreign leaders. Ahmed’s Prosperity Party was declared the winner of parliamentary elections held earlier this year, winning 410 of the 436 parliamentary seats.
