Real Betis Zimbabwe Academy players have been presented with an early opportunity to prove their mettle before some top Spanish teams when they tour Spain in March. The academy, the first in the continent, was launched in 2020 with plans to unearth football talent in the southern African country but had to be placed on hold due Covid-19. Zimbabwe has recorded more than 13,000 cases of Covid-19 and 359 deaths.
