Cape Town — As of April 21, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 4,450,504 while over 9,263,298 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 118,608 and 3,968,210 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases – 1,568,366 – and 53,887 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 506,669 ), Tunisia ( 289,230 ), Ethiopia ( 245,155), Egypt ( 218,041), Libya (173,089) and Nigeria (164,423).
