A new research report from the South African National Editors Forum has revealed the impact of the Covid-19 economic crisis on South Africa’s media which, along with rights abuses on journalists around the continent, has had significant consequences.

  • As of June 1, the confirmed COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries has reached 146,793. Reported deaths in Africa have reached 4,222 and recoveries 61,772.
